Whoever said that money isnt everything must have been kidding big time, coz right now im kicking myself silly and im on the verge of screaming my 4-room flat down...all for rejecting a 60bucks-a-day job at the PC show at Suntec. Someone spit on me now.

Sometimes I just love blogger.com for providing a platform for nonsensical whiners like me to blog nonsense.

It's 1am in the morning and i just had my dinner-cum-supper and some soursop in the past hour, so that's why im here to blog abt me watching Da Vinci Code, before i go to bed. I thought the show was pretty good, save for the part where Silas died coz i dont like the idea of people being made used of like a tool, and wind up feeling like a fool. I sympathise with the character actually. It kinda left a bitter aftertaste.

Not reading the book beforehand was an advantage coz it allowed me to watch the movie without any expectations of it - which usually lead to disappointment, coz the intensity of the drama u get from the book would not, and could not possibly be sufficiently expressed in the show. But anyways, the movie left me more intrigued about the issue, and i believe that it will now be a whole lot easier to read the book:)

Today, i went shopping in town in the afternoon with my mum and my siblings, smthg which we haven't done tgr for a long, long time. Mum's still rather abrasive with me, but things have been gradually getting better cuz i've been keeping a low profile - return home by curfew time, stay at home as much as poss, teach the kid and keep quiet, not grumble. So, for my efforts, i've been awarded with $100+ worth of lingerie today. All at one go, no kidding. I offered to pay for my own stuff, but she refused, saying "ni ting hua, bu yao zheng tian nong wo sheng qi jiu hao le la..."

So what can i do? Be very thankful, lor. I just hope those underwear have no strings attached whatsoever though. [pun intended, haha]

Later in the evening i met with hs, jh and becky at orchard for dinner, before we cabbed down to acs (barker) for the concert. The concert was really entertaining, coz the batch this year is an extremely talented one. NJ's blessed:) And for the very first time, i felt jaded being 20, seeing all the grand juniors performing on stage. (credits to hs for my jaded-ness, too) Was overwhelmed by some kind of sadness which i couldnt explain; the feeling like the good things that have passed my way are never gonna come back anymore...im getting nostalgic here. But i was happy seeing both my seniors n juniors once again, coz it reminded me of all the good times i had with them in the past. A 'lil happy reunion, so to speak:) Oh, even Chung who came back here from US for a few days, was there; and he's cultivated a little American accent already;)

Went for a haircut yesterday, and tried a new hairstyle under the suggestion of the hairstylist. The result was heavily, heavily layered hair with some temporary curls at the back. Ling, pear n jer said it was alright, while fu called it "sha3 gua1 tou2". And my take? I found it strange, coz i've had straight hair for almost my whole life and Im the type who'd stick to something im familiar with rather than experiment with smthg new. But haha...yes, i pretty much like the curls, which unfortunately would be gone after a hair wash. Following which, i window-shopped a little before i met with my sistas, my ah kor and fu for dinner at Subway and a game of pool at Paradiz ctr. Thankiew my si fus for helping me revise my pool skills!

Today, i almost died of boredom. Im really getting sick of my computer already. Fortunately, i found myself some stuff to do, like painting my nails sky blue, (and removing it again later after i rmbered i've got an interview tmr) sending my baggy jeans to the tailor's, reading an engaging online article on Mary Magdalene, taking risque pictures of my bolster(?!!) and giving my sister n her gal pals bone-head ideas on their project. On the latter, i suspect it was an unconscious scam concocted by my brain to find things to do to occupy my time...coz what followed was 5 solid hrs of cutting out words from thick styrofoam boards to spell i-n-d-o-n-e-s-i-a (dammit, why not do I-n-d-i-a?! 5 words only lor), and attempts to chop my fingers off with the pen-knife. Not to mention sweeping my room floor which was deliriously filled with all the styrofoam bits after that. I was dead beat.

Anyways, the best news of the day was overhearing my sis say this to my mum:

"Mrs Loke said my maths improved and she asked me to continue what i have been doing..."

Hahaaa...say, the F-word i mouthed really works wonders! But OF COURSE... im kidding. More imptly, my mum can now rethink of whether or not she wants my cousin to take over my job and chase me out of the house. Sadly, at the end of the day, ur value as a person to another depends on whether u're useful to them or not. Im not saying it's always the case, that people are manipulative and selfish by nature; but anyone will have been selfish or manipulative at some pt in time. Afterall, only the
fittest survive; not the fitter.

My class gathering was a success! Only half the class was there, but hey, didnt the Chinese always believe that " no fish, prawn also good "? So yeah, im pretty contented actually:) Haha...we had alot of guffaws coz of Hc, Toon and Ben. They sounded super zai, but tt's because my ears were already damaged by the excessive screeching, i think. I mean, they actually tackled S.H.E and Jolin Tsai's songs. What more can i say? And Hc. Yes, i CONFIRM that he's becoming effeminate cuz he kept asking to take the female part of duets. " To train my falsetto," he says. Yeah rite.

I left my class towards the end of the session and had dinner with xw n hs, who had to do that stupid flyer job today. I practically helped her dump the entire stack of abt 100 flyers straight into the bin. Haha...i did a good deed today! And dinner time was amusing coz the rate at which our food was going was horrifyingly fast. the waiter who served us was practically staring at the 3 ngor guais (hungry ghouls) the whole time. But wad to do? Hungry mah...

So there. Gone is my shu nu image again. *shakes head in despair*

I hereby declare that im swearing off Lucky Plaza, and more imptly, FLYER JOBS for the rest of my life unless they pay me 20 bucks/hr. Cuz i think it's really not worth killing your poor legs just for a miserable pay rate of 5 bucks/hr. And this wouldnt even be enough to cover my taxi fares to and fro hospital should i get flat feet because i stood for too long in the line of duty.

And yes, while fervently dispensing 'thank you's and 'excuse me's for every flyer distributed, i came to a very impt life conclusion in this experience:

"All men, apart from my father, brother, most of my uncles and 99.9% of my guy friends, are b*****ds." Don't ask me why. Just accept it. And make sure u stay my friend if u're a guy.

Another interesting observation i made was that for most couples, the ladies would stand on the left, while the men would stand on the right when they're walking together. Dont believe me? Just be more observant the next time u walk the streets or go out with your bf/gfs. U'll see for yourselves.

Anyways, by dinner time, my pay was all gone. Ha...Good things really dont last.

Well, at this point my hair's almost dry, and im ready for bed. But before i go off, i'd end off my post with just a little tip on dressing: If ur desire is to project an alternative sexual orientation other than what u physically seem to be, pls do try to aim for the wholesome image i.e. if u want to be a lady, dress like one, turn on ur feminine charm and feel free to do your make-up; if u want to be seen as a guy, put on your usual oh-so-masculine clothes and wear your fav cologne to the max. BUT for goodness' sake, LEAVE THE BLARDIE MAKE-UP SET ALONE.

OK...now that i've finished my piece, im ready to sleep. As a precaution though, i'd like to say that the above comments are not meant to be attacks on bisexuals and homosexuals whatsoever, and are purely non-antagonistic in nature.

If i had a wish, i'd wish that this would be the darkest period of my life so things can only get better. It wasn't my intention to cause any misery either.

I just dont want to be so trapped all the time.

I am now officially hated by my entire family and I’ve been branded a tyrant, a devil, a bully, a foul-mouthed piece of junk ready to be thrown out. Congratulate me, all u ppl out there. I’ve graduated. May I rot big time in hell for this.

In addition, I think it’s only wise that everyone avoid coming into contact with me so they don’t get my bad vibes. However, if anyone knows of ppl renting out rooms at a cheap affordable rate, pls have a heart and drop me a msg. I’ve been told that my services are no longer needed and I am no longer useful to them anymore. In addition, I shall leave the residence as and when I am required to, and after that, I would have nothing to do with the family.

Let’s see if this is just yet another silly feud. We’ll see.

wad a funnily tiring day i had, right on the last day of exams. To be more accurate, it's not MY exams, it's my SIS's exams; but i find myself 10 times more stressed out than she is, and 10 times more tired than she is.

Anyway, back to why my day was funnily tiring.

I went to work in sch for some Singtel staff training programme as a Game Master. It felt whoaaaa at first, cuz we were supposedly supposed to facilitate those Singtel officers n execs (so ta'speak). I mean, u'd expect a certain level of 'model' conduct from these high ranking ppl. But really, i had 2nd thoughts about that after watching them play. They're mere mortals afterall:) [haha...more like adults reduced to kids]

In addition, I made quite a few new friends too, cuz my team of facilitators consisted of mostly guys from NTU; all of whom can talk cock very well and made my job interesting. Really a bunch of funny nice blokes, i agree. (one of them unfortunately kenna sabo-ed by me to do road marshalling. haha sorry pal! *um chio*) But while there was great fun, the main attraction was still the money - I left school $50 richer;)

And since it has become customary to relax, enjoy and splurge like crazy after a hard day of work, we tried to catch the Da Vinci show but the tix were out, so we went for dinner instead.
Then in an unexpected twist of events, all of us somehow ended up in the arcade down at DG Mrt station. Whoa...I laughed until i nearly choked, ok. All the swordplay and bball training and evrything. *shing shing shing, no light. Shing shing shing, got light* haha...

It's hard to believe, but trust me, it's been MORE THAN TEN YEARS since i last went into one (Gine wasnt even born yet). Hah! Will nv forget how my bro n i used to pester dad n mum to bring us to the one at Thomson Yaohan every week , and how hard the both of us collected those coupons for all the stuffed toys (haha...I always somehow convinced him to exchange for those. Big bully i was back then:p). So the revisit today brought back fond memories, though it also brought about the realisation that i've grown pretty out-of-sync with the machines already. (haha...i feel so damn old.) The basketball machine was esp. familiar to me, cuz i rmb my dad used to carry me n my bro up and put us right into the goal area so that all i had to do was literally place the bball in. (In short, play cheat la.) Hah...sometimes i wish i could go back to those times again man, when all of us were so happy. When MY home was still my private haven. When i had my own room, my own piano and my own little window, where i used to play pranks on the garang guni man who shouted from the carpark downstairs. I was so very much loved and blissfully ignorant and innocent; and Discoteques (now known as clubs, of cuz) were still places of sin n evil to me, haha.

Things were still fine and dandy then, and I wasn't so hateful.

Sighz...I miss those days, really.

Went out for a scrumptious dinner feast at Swensen's with my folks earlier on.

And my verdict? shiok. Eat until i sehh.

The boys were a real pain in the ass la...as usual. And a funny bunch to boot. From complaining about their under-done steaks, taking stoopid snapshots of themselves, fooling around with a balls-lookalike carrot (and i dont mean your soccer ball kind), to toppling the dry-ice container in the Earthquake ice-cream... There's absolutely nothing they're not capable of, i tell ya.

Top all these up with a very confused waiter (there were 8 of us at the table), and u get guffaws galore! Hahaa...and at the end, the waiter was so grateful to my mum for not complaining abt him that he came up to her and thanked her personally - outside the restaurant, of cuz.

But im a little unhappy though. I've got a bulging tummy to settle:(

jy ate a chocolate  2:48 PM

haha...my efforts have not been futile afterall!! And i successfully made THE first pancakes of my life. This brings us to the embarrassing realisation that i havent really been progressing much on the culinary scene at home so...

In anyways, i've gotta say that while i was successful in producing decent-looking pancakes for my mum, my first 2 pieces of pancakes became roti prata instead - oddly-shaped and all, coz i attempted to add cooking oil into the pan to grease it. (which i realised in due time, unnecessary.) Then if variety was also impt in capturing your consumers' hearts, i scored big time on tt too...because my pancakes were of various sizes and shades of brown:)

The only regret tho, was that i destroyed my mum's rice ladle that i used to scoop up the pancakes. Hee...guess the heat was too much for it to handle haha... But at least it didnt melt in vain! Everybody's happy now:)

Gee... i gave myself yet another break today from my rigorous routine, and met up with jh n hs. No...t'was more like accompany the poor babe while she's gotta give out flyers, and then go shop abit wif jh before gg for dinner with them, zw n hc.

Then i returned home and got a good shelling from my mum cuz she discovered my Ares p2p program. Bravo to the dumb ass of a brother who's obsessed enough with joga bonito ads to be caught downloading them illegally. Cuz anyone with at least average intelligence would know that they can get 'em at youtube FOR FREE AND RISK-FREE. But my main concern was the un-reined wrath of my mumsie. She's so furious, that i think my efforts of planning a surprise Mother's Day breakfast for her have gone to the dumps. Thanks to the stupid brother i never knew i had.

Seriously, it's been so long, that i've difficulty differentiating between brisk walking and jogging...was half-dead by the 10-min mark in fact. But but but i managed to keep it on for a grand total of 23 mins!!! My muscles are aching like hell right now, but hey...im smilin';)

Hah...This looks pretty boring, but im lovin' it cuz of all the slack time i get in between:) I'd be squeezing jogging or cycling into my itinery REAL soon, cuz i seem to be turning yellow from the lack of sunlight; not to mention having horrible visions of myself turning into a yellow blob of fats parked in front of the com.

In addition, im currently praying hard tt i get a vacation job soon cuz i need the moolah, and i cant stand being too idle... Really wldnt want to end up like a certain friend of mine who got so bored that he calls me up at random donkey times during the day and asks me why i call him. (like...huhh???)

Biting the bittergourd.

Advantage: prevents the mouth from spouting unnecessary crap, and therefore prevent from getting into unnecessary trouble.

Disadvantage: it leaves a bitter taste in your mouth. And u cant speak a word even if u're feeling horrible abt the taste.

After several obstacle courses (which include lying), i finally managed to pack my ass to zouk's mambo nite. But t'was a teeny weeny bit dampening cuz last nite was damned packed...too packed in fact. Everybody just buah-ed everybody else just so to do more than just vertical oscillations on the dance floor. Omg...all the sweaty ppl of the world unite! And if mambo was too packed, phuture was even worse - with only breathing and farting space available. Anyone was in there would either have had his face plastered against somebody else's armpit or embedded into his hair, depending on how tall he was...So no matter how good the music was, the maddening crowd was already enough to turn anyone off.
"Darned.", says the gurl who absolutely indulges in RnB music.

Thankfully however, Mambo saved the day. The mood was good so i found myself liking mambo - despite being adverse to it at the beginning. But ironically, the reason why i liked it was becuz the songs were gradually becoming decreasingly mambo-ish and increasingly top 40-ish towards the end. I mean, since when did mambo include Madonna's hung up, Kylie's can't get you outta my head, and even BSB's larger than life?? But hey, i ain't complaining. Cuz that's abt the next bestest choice of music that yours truly loves!
Oh, and another thing i found out was that the centre platforms are actually reserved for all the true blue mambo kings i.e. not any gorilla or chimp can go up there and do any monkey moves that he likes....Otherwise, the bouncy bouncer would come along and bounce him off the platform. Interesting if u ask me, cuz i've finally found out how the funny dance steps came about. And which everyone follows. Monkey see monkey do.

Glad i made it for this one. [Save for the fact that my hair was filled with cigarette smoke smell (that wouldnt go away despite 3 rigorous washes in 7 hours), my ear drums were gone and i've got a scraped shin while trying to get out of the place.]

Oh, and i've been a good girl too. I didnt drink more than a glass of ribena vodka. lolx

Cycling rocks. Especially when there's nobody around to clog up the pathways and u end up playing dodge bike-and-blades with ur fellow park users. So i woke up early n went off to pasir ris to cycle with jeremy. (becky cldnt make it) I've recently realised that pasir ris isnt actually that far from where i live, so there was added incentive for me to go. Not to mention the fact that cycling tones the ass like nobody's business. (hahaha jh, thanks for tt line!)

By the way, i realise i've got affinity towards dogs, too. Cuz the bike shop owner had one and it came up to me n licked my feet while it shunned away from jeremy. (No, actually it was jeremy who shunned away from the dog, haha) Feeling touched by its friendliness, i instinctively went on to say 'good boy' - until i realised with utmost embarrassment that it had nipples n no balls. Haha oh wells, im just thankful she didnt chew me up for the gender confusion. Nice dog u have there, uncle!

Budden again, maybe im wrong abt saying that i've affinity for dogs. More like bitches have the innate affinity for each other i.e bitches attract bitches. Cuz the trauma of having been chased by a big black dog on my 10th birthday in school didnt quite give me a good impression of their kind.

The nuah nuah group nuah-ed at holland V first stop, then migrated to town and makan-cum-nuahed somemore at Sakae. Not exactly exciting, but nevertheless, cool. Haha...and having driver xw amongst us was simply a blessing. I gotta give credit where credit's due, man!

I told mummy dearest in the morning that i'd be home at 6pm, but guess where i was?? - I happily went off to sing KTV at Cuppage after lunch! hurhur... It's my maiden attempt at doing this, but hey im lovin' it! And now i FINALLY know why ling n co loves singing KTV soooo much. (Count me in next time, ya hear me??)
