Can't believe im actually getting nervous over something so small... as singing So Small for the singing competition in school tomorrow evening.
Gaah... Maybe i shld make myself busy, pack my dress and make up so i wont keep thinking about it.
Wish me luck!
The other day, as I got off the train at Outram Park, I heard an outburst from an old uncle behind me,
"Wait for people to get off the train also cannot, is it?"
That old uncle became my hero for that day.
I thank Him for paging him to be there for me when i needed both Him and him to be.
It's first week of school, and it feels like...
God gave me extended school holidays. I've been greatly blessed, honest!
Kudos to the changes to the institution-that-shall-not-be-named (Phay, 2010), they implemented the staggering of modules so that we student educators will not die...as quickly. As to whether we'll die or not, that's another story for another day. Till March, school is a two-day affair, with an extremely FULL-filling Friday which literally stretches from dawn to dusk with a kind one hour lunch-tea-dinner break thrown in for good measure.
And apart from a meaningful welcome gift of a compass (we're guessing that our predecessors often got lost around Pulau Nanyang), they have also sent us bugs with a preference for stinging faces.
Therefore in summary, I conclude that my first week at school has been an eventful, fulfilling week and i look forward to a well-rested weekend!=)
I pay for my family's broadband internet at home, for the convenience of use for my siblings and myself. So imagine my anger, when the China kids that my mum has collected think they have the right to steal my broadband password and use MY internet without even the basic courtesy of asking.
As a result of which, i am left paying for an internet connection which is slow or even non-reacting at night because these kids (im talking about 4 different computers, not including my brother's or my own) hog it to stream and watch soccer matches and Taiwanese dramas online, and i cant do/spend a much longer time than i should doing my own stuff.
And the best thing? Im not even entitled to the right to be angry about it because they pay money to stay in my house and rob me of my belongings. I don't like people taking my things as their own, but some of these people do and i can't do anything about it.
I only pray that He would give me the wisdom to refrain from anger, and that i regain the rights to my own belongings.
I want my home back.
