Interesting discussion in SS class today:

Evaluating sources is like choosing husbands.
You need to consider the:
  • context (family background),
  • content (is he intelligent, is he kind, got macho muscles anot),
  • reliability (come payday, will he automatically give me some for allowance)
  • validity (hope he's not lame..? Kidding. I mean whether this is the one whom u really want)
  • USEFULNESS (least mentioned, but most important, haha.)

So Mum found out about my going to church. Didn't expect her to find out this way, but i trust that God has His plans and i am only to see the brilliance of it... in due time.

She didn't react very well to it, obviously. She didn't say much, but it was enough for me to sense that she feels hurt, which in turn feels like somebody just stabbed me with a thousand knives and left me there to bleed - the pain of which could perhaps explain my choice of painful songs of heartbreak to distract me from my own.
