Heard this beautiful song in my colleague's car.
Mindy Smith - One Moment More
Hold me
Even though I know you're leaving
And show me
All the reasons you would stay
It's just enough to feel your breath on mine
To warm my soul and ease my mind
You've gotta hold me and show me now
Give me just one part of you to cling to
And keep me everywhere you are
It's just enough to steal my heart and run
Then fade out with the falling sun
Oh, please don't go
Let me have you just one moment more
Oh, all I need
All I want is just one moment more
You've gotta hold me and keep me now
Tell me
How someday you'll be returning
And maybe, maybe I'll believe
It's just enough to see a shooting star
To know you're never really far
It's just enough to see a shooting star
To know you're never really gone
Oh, please don't go
Let me have you just one moment more
Oh, all I need
All I want is just one moment more
Oh, please don't go
Let me have you just one moment more
Oh, all I need
All I want is just one moment more
You've gotta hold me and maybe I'll believe..
So hold me even though I know you're leaving.
Guess what.
I went back to buy the shoes after i thinking of it for three days and three nights. Turns out the shop only had one shoe per size, so that pair turned out to be the one and only...meant for me! =)
Then less than 15 minutes later, I found a beautiful blue satin dress that i thought i looked good in. Upon paying i asked for a new - i.e. the fresh-from-packaging kind - one, only to be told that there is only one of its kind.
Ended my retail therapy that day feeling blissfully happy, cus to have found something that no one else has is akin to finding my perfect boyfriend (except he doesn't exist).
...
If only my one-and-only is as easy to find, man.
I saw a very, very pretty pair of white ballerina flats today...and i just walked away. =(
I nearly knocked a jaywalker down at a X-junction. Moments before, i was at the stop line, checking for oncoming traffic from both directions before i drove out to the main road.
Then out of nowhere this fella appeared right in front of my car at the junction. Thank God i was doing 10-20km/h and reacted quickly enough, so the guy managed to dodge the car...
But boy, was i shaken. And i sure believe the guy was too. Luckily he was well enough to glare at me and then walked away unscathed. Spent the next few hours feeling really guilty; first for not noticing him, and then for not getting out of the car to check if he was alright (i only signalled to him that i was really sorry before he walked away...really wasn't thinking properly then).
Later on, my sis who had been in the car with me, told me the guy alr saw my car, knew i was going to make the turn (my signal lights were on) but still proceeded to cross the road at the junction, probably thinking i'd stop in the middle of 4 roads to wait for him to finish jaywalking. The pedestrian crossing was about 50m away, btw. This goes to show he was really the one flouting traffic rules, but since the pedestrian has always had the benefit of the doubt, i only thank my lucky stars no one got hurt.
Hope he doesnt have a weak heart too...i pray for him to be alright. Won't be driving the car for the time being though.
if i don't seem to want to help you, it just goes to show that i find it very difficult to work for and with you, that's why i don't.
So please realise (already!) that your attempts to guilt-trip me by telling me how selfish i am for not helping you out is not gonna make me more willing to help you.
In case you've forgotten, i hold a day job too. Only difference is that i can manage mine. Perhaps you should start learning to manage yours too, since you were the stubborn one who chose to make life so difficult for yourself.
And if you find that you cannot manage whatever you're doing, then it just shows that you're trying to do too much.
So. For the sakes of your own health and for the ears and well-being of others around you, stop being the ambitious tyrant and face up to reality:
THE ONLY PERSON WHO NEEDS TO CHANGE IS NONE OTHER THAN YOURSELF.
MONDAY...
left me feeling like i should've brought a katana to work. My sec 1s made me real mad today and I lost control for abit. Later that day, my sec 3 class told me that i was the 2nd best in the whole world...only to deliver the punchline that every other teacher was the best.
TUESDAY...
was sweet revenge. Totally owned the 2 classes that pissed me off.
WEDNESDAY...
i continued to terrorise the boys who tried to mess with me.
THURSDAY...
i heard the funniest exchange ever in one of my sec 3 classes.
Boy A: Eh, your hair's blocking my view!
Boy B: *sheepishly sliding down his seat so that the fellow behind him cld see better.*
... something i never heard in my 16 years of education.
AND TODAY MADE ME FEEL LIKE I JUST WON A MILLION BUCKS!=))
