My Chevron grp! From left: Michelle, me, Moli, Wailun, Wei Lee My PD, Meisi - who did an excellent job of coordinating all the gigs despite facing lotsa hiccups n annoying event coordinators (particularly a certain disorganised, screwed up Ms C). the beautiful ceiling of Chevrons, which i loved coz it reminded me of bedtime fairytales where they always had fluffy clouds, angels, innocent n sweet lil children and snowflakes:) a closer look at my lovely group! (psst...this is considered a rare photo, coz the guy in red rarely smiles in pictures. Time to buy 4D loh!:p) shaun happily battling it out with the nasty falsettos! one of the rare times derek sum jh picks up the mic n sings during ktv. And zw thinks he can do a much better job. i really have no idea why hc's looking like that. Maybe he thinks he can do a better job too? I really don't know. (Note: my head's in the left hand corner of the pic, so it obviously wasnt taken by me. Dunno what the heck the photographer was thinking oso. LoL) I fell in love with the cute lil tako teo with pouty, kissable lips. Come to mummy~ haha I should do more good deeds too. Coz you only get what you give. And i shall post a pic of the entire group that i love so, so much! (when my friend sends it to me, tt is :/) Merry Christmas (belated, no doubt) and a very Happy New Year full of love, peace, fun n pleasant surprises for everyone! Labels: december hols 2006
This was seriously rushed, and lacked practice (we had a grand total of 1-and-a-half practs, all thanks to my untimely holiday), but i guess it was as good as it cld get. I learnt to listen out alot more for my other teammates while practising for the gig, and i realised tt a semi-butchered song CAN in fact be repaired. All u need is one teammate who knows how to sneak in a couple of correct notes at the correct places, and the others to pick up the cues. Im amazed, man. (btw, i was taught how n when to 'smoke'. but i shant mention who. haha...)

Gang reunion @Settler's
Finally, the gang met up on the 23rd for Xmas, thanks to JH's efforts. Played for abit in Settler's, before we moved off to Partyworld Clementi for a rnd of ktv - much to the despair of that friend who absolutely despises ktv haha.

In the end, i went home pretty much later than usual, which got me very worried abt the lecturing i thot i'd get when i reached home. Thankfully, a kind n helpful friend called jh sent me home. And yeppps, i managed to escape relatively unscathed! *grin grin grin*
This is the general layout of the cabins on the ship, the pic taken outside my room. And my room had a window! (ok fine...it's a porthole actually) My buffet lunch on the first day - a healthy mix of pasta, cod fish, vege and roast chicken. But this was only my 1st plate of food actually. Had another separate serving of desserts after that:p This is the layout of the buffet restaurant, which serves a mixture of western n asian food (plus soup). Which also explains why it's possible multiple servings per meal:p Sadly, i forgot to take a pic of the dessert corner, which offered fruits n lovely cakes n brownies. :D My first day dinner at the Chinese restaurant From Right to Left: Ho, Ho and Ho A little wonderland that i found at Gurney Plaza in Penang on the 2nd day. The whole place was filled with all the pretty girl things - tiaras, pearly hairbands, hair accessories, furry stuffed toys and all other pretty stuffs! And to top it all off, THEY'RE MOSTLY IN SHADES OF PINK. Cheryl wld have aspired to buy down the whole place if she went there herself man. haha Me, Brother Ho n Granny Ho. By the time this pic was taken, we were already at Patong beach in Phuket on the 3rd day of the cruise. And yes, that area was attacked by the tsunami. Knowing that i was standing on the very ground where so many people, including my own ocuntrymen died, it got me a lil emo there. But things have really changed alot there since i last visited the place. I saw new buildings being reconstructed along the whole stretch of beach. Life still must go on, it seems. my Dad posing with a bronze elephant...I dunno why...i also didnt know he had a thing for elephants. Yet another fruitful 8h shopping trip in Phuket! Bought myself my CNY clothes, a pretty tube top for sch, and check this out - a pair of top quality (fake) Ray-Ban shades! Seriously, the Thais are really good copycats, coz some of the stuff i saw there really looked like the real thing. Im impressed. haha my siblings look downright sehhh btw. a parting shot at Phuket - which means 'mountain' in Thai - from the ferry gg back to the ship Dinner on the 2nd night - at the Chi restaurant again. It was serving my fav watercress soup! oh but i committed the mistake of flipping over the fish. According to my aunt, we're not supposed to do that when we're at sea coz it signifies that ur ship wld overturn. But thank goodness we all came back in one piece...and dry, lah. my last meal on board the ship (4th day). The buttered dory fish - the white white lumps in the pic - were the best! (on the 3rd night we had a Gala dinner where we had western food. Silly me forgot to grab the camera so i cldnt take pics of the marvellous food we had:( Labels: december hols 2006
Havent been updating since i left for my cruise, but i've been a very happy gurl this hols. Possibly one of the best so far with a suitable mix of carolling, gathering, maria-ing and of course, having tons of fun!
Hmm...Don't really know how to start rambling abt my activities, so i'll let the pictures do most of the talking, and i'll probably yak a little along the way i guess. Activities are by chronological order. Oh, and i'd prob be separating the pics into 2 posts btw.
Carolling @Bt.Batok CC
I went for a 4D3N cruise to Penang n Phuket, and that cld only mean plenty of food and tons of shopping to do. Which happen to be a few of my favourite activities:D

Last but not least, i've gotta give some credit to the wonderful ship crew. This elf in the picture is one of the Fillipino staff who's blessed with really good vocals and a distinctive funnyman look - a cross between zhang guo rong n jacky wu. haha..and he was hilarious alright...kept us entertained all the while we waited for disembarkation ...back to Spore~!
Gee...it's already been more than a week since my exams ended!
Life's so far so good. Have been busy, but i still had time to do the things i wanna do. Still, sometimes i feel that time is really not enough.
Been pretty involved in Reso stuff, what with the arrangement workshop and Chlamp over the last weekend. It went pretty smoothly, and ppl seemed to enjoy it, so i guess it was pretty much worth the effort. But to be brutally honest, i've never felt so stressed for a chalet before even tho i've organised quite a few before this. The whole affair from the planning to the execution definitely tweaked my impressions of certain people; some for the better, some worse, but generally i still love everybody, lah.
Finally got to meet up with my clique too. Missed them loads...esp when things got rough during the exam period. I don't know how the rest felt abt not doing happening stuffs n not even talking much; but for me, it was enough for me to just have them around. Coz to me, quality time doesnt entail having everyone doing something 'whoaaa' together. Just chilling out together is also fine what; there's not really much to do in town these days anw. What's more impt is the comfort that i feel being arnd ppl whom i absolutely trust n am totally at ease with.
And things have been great on the home front. In fact, it's better than it's ever been coz there's just the 5 of us at home, minus the china boys and the maid. It has really been a long, long time since we had our private family space to ourselves, and i've been missing it. I've never felt happier staying at home, even though it meant that i had to do quite abit of household chores. Now im just wishing that time wldnt pass so quickly so i can enjoy more of that family space.
Time really isnt enough.
Exam lowdown:
Screwed up my stats paper today...and im feeling a lil sad about it. Think im in for a mere B- again:(
my soci n computing papers were surprisingly ooook tho; one of the rare times tt i've actually managed to finish my papers in time. Hah...i was so furiously writing down all the soci stuffs in my head, my left hand developed cramps in the last 5 mins of the soci exam. But i wrote on...and finished the paper. NEVER SAY DIE!
Time to buck up for my last 2 psych papers so i can save my ass abit, prettify my CAP scores a lil bit more, and further my studies in nus for a little yr longer.
*crosses fingers and goes off to hit the books again*
